This is the result of the weekly sentiment poll conducted by the American Association of Individual Investors.
A couple weeks ago, the bears outnumbered the bulls – in the middle of a bull market.
This was a major sentiment flip.
But as of the end of last week?
Bullish sentiment spiked, bearish sentiment faded – and now individual investors are firmly bullish again.
This kind of flip-flopping is nothing unusual when it comes to individual investors and retail traders.
It won’t change – so we might as well take advantage of it.

The pros get the bandwagon started – the individuals keep it going.
This has two implications:
- The pros reap most of the profits
- Many of the individuals who hop on the bandwagon late are the “exit liquidity” for these pros
How do the pros do it?
Sure, many of them have the capital to move entire sectors – not to mention teams of analysts and cutting-edge computers.
But here’s the dirty truth behind the success of a lot of these pros.
